Catholic University of Valencia will invest honoris causa Robert Sarah

The Board of Trustees of the Catholic University of Valencia San Vicente Mártir (UCV ) has unanimously approved investing as doctor  honoris causa  of Cardinal Robert Sarah (Guinea-Conakry, June 15, 1945), prefect emeritus of the Congregation for Divine Worship and Discipline of the Sacraments .   The Board of Trustees of the UCV will grant Cardinal Sarah the highest distinction of the University on July 1 “for his extraordinary service to the Church throughout his extensive career in the successive responsibilities entrusted to him by the last three pontiffs: Saint John Paul II, Benedict XVI and Francisco ”, as he has expressed to Religión Confidencial. The highest organ of the UCV recognizes the cardinal “his dedication and commitment to human advancement from charity, the evangelization of peoples, pastoral care and priestly formation. Likewise, Cardinal Robert Sarah stands out for his dedication and support in humanitarian causes, especially in his trips to areas devastated by war conflicts and natural disasters, and his efforts to denounce the consequences of these conflicts, raising his voice in defense of rights, are commendable. of refugees, everywhere bearer of the Church’s message of hope ”.
