After the passage of the $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill, the Senate began a series of votes on amendments to a proposed $3.5 trillion budget resolution. Sen. James Lankford, R-OK, offered an amendment to restore the pro-life Hyde Amendment to the budget. Sen. Joe Manchin, D-WV, joined all Republicans in voting to preserve the pro-life Hyde Amendment, in a 50-49 vote.
