Countries across the world have begun to end their evacuation efforts from Kabul ahead of the August 31 deadline.
Some countries such as Japan and the US are planning to continue their evacuations, despite the deadly suicide bomb attack at Kabul’s airport, whilst other allies are bringing their missions to an end.
Evacuation flights from Afghanistan resumed with new urgency the day after twin bombings targeted thousands of desperate people fleeing the Taliban takeover.
ISIS-K, an offshoot of the Islamic State group, has claimed responsibility for the attacks that killed more than 100 people.
