Pope Francis Writes Preface for Book Based on Encyclical, Fratelli Tutti | EWTN News Nightly – YouTube

Archbishop Jerome Lloyd OSJVPosted by

A new book based on an encyclical by Pope Francis says the Church’s social teaching is deeply rooted in God’s love for humanity. The book is called “Fraternity: Sign of the Times,” and is written by Cardinal Michael Czerny and Fr. Michael Barone. It is based on the Holy Father’s Fratelli Tutti and the pope even wrote the Preface for the new book. One of the authors of the book, Cardinal Czerny, Under-Secretary of the Migrants and Refugees Section of the Holy See’s Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development, joins to share how the idea for this book came about and what it was like working with Pope Francis. In the Preface, the Holy Father says that the Church’s social teaching is not outside theology, but instead deeply rooted in God’s love for humanity. Cardinal Czerny tells us about that and what he thinks Pope Francis meant by that. The cardinal discusses what he hopes people take away from reading his book.
