Dave Rubin of The Rubin Report talks to emergency room nurse and congressional candidate Kevin Surdi about how Kathy Hochul’s New York vaccine mandate for unvaccinated health workers has been a disaster for healthcare staffing and nurse burnout. This week the vaccine mandate for healthcare workers in NY took effect. Instead of making hospitals safer it appears to make things much worse. Hospitals that already had a nursing shortage are now losing thousands of other doctors and nurses despite having antibodies from getting COVID previously. He tells heartbreaking stories of pregnant nurses who were forced to quit simply for waiting to give birth before getting the COVID vaccine. Hochul’s plan to replace fired workers with National guard healthcare workers will only remove them from areas that are already in need, increasing medical staffing shortages system wide.
