The beloved mother was attacked and killed during a violent home invasion in Queensland on Boxing Day.
The husband of a British mother-of-two who was stabbed to death during a burglary at her home in Australia has said she “died trying to protect our family”.
Emma Lovell, 41, was killed after she and her husband Lee, 43, were attacked on Boxing Day at their home in North Lakes, 30 miles north of Queensland’s capital Brisbane.
Two 17-year-old boys have been charged with murder, attempted murder and breaking and entering.
Police said a fight broke out on the front porch as the couple tried to stop the attackers and Mrs Lovell suffered a stab wound to her chest.
Paramedics were called to the scene and attempted to save her but she was pronounced dead in hospital.
