It is a serious thing for a doctor to deliberately mislead anyone – his patients, a government agency, the general public. It’s even more serious when that doctor tries to withhold potentially life-saving treatment from vulnerable patients by lying about it. Yet this is exactly what Dr Jonathan Lord, medical director at MSI Reproductive Choices, stands accused of.

Now six UK doctors are calling on the General Medical Council (GMC) to investigate Dr Lord after he campaigned against life-saving abortion pill reversal treatment, seeking even to have Dr Dermot Kearney (one of the only doctors in the UK to offer the treatment) struck off. What’s more, it could now even become illegal to make women aware of abortion pill reversal and offer them support outside abortion facilities, if the Parliament passes new legislation which would introduce censorship zones nationwide around clinics and hospitals offering abortions. Dr Dermot Kearney joins Tim Dieppe on this week’s Round the Table, along with Tim Lewis of Brephos UK, to discuss how threats to life-saving pro-life work are being challenged – and how you can raise your voice, too.
