Posted by Many Catholics admire John Henry Newman, the impressive convert from Anglicanism, defender of the Catholic Faith, lifelong opponent of liberalism, and finally, cardinal of the Roman Church. But not many are aware of the wonderful writings Newman left us on divine worship, reverence in prayer, and the rites and rituals of the Church. Given how important these topics are—both in themselves, and at our present moment—it is surprising that no one has ever provided easy access to Newman’s moving insights and profound wisdom about them.
