A “pass” of succession from Ecumenical Patriarch

The conclusion I draw from the Ecumenical Patriarch’s visit to the United States is, among other things, that Bartholomew has placed many of his hopes in Archbishop Elpidophoros of America.

I am referring to the next day at the Ecumenical Patriarchate. The Patriarch praised and publicly supported Archbishop Elpidophoros and said he was satisfied with what he had done in the USA.

The one who, I guess, was very upset was Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon. He arrived in the USA and tried to steal the show. He tried to present himself in the USA as the de facto number two found in “another diocese of the Ecumenical Throne.”

However, the Ecumenical Patriarch frustrated Emmanuel’s ambition in a Phanariotic way. He indirectly reminded him of his mission. He is meant to be number two. In the centuries of centuries… The question that remains is who will be the number one after the Patriarch. Because in addition to those who are evident, I learn that other younger people are also interested and ambitious.
