(Cristiana de Magistris) After a careful and calm reading of the recent motu proprio Traditionis Custodes , devoid of that acrimony and indignation that almost inevitably arouses a document – like this one – with draconian and tendentious tones, the text does not seem to be an act of force but of weakness, a swan song that, near the end, sings with a voice no longer beautiful but stronger.
