In the infraoctave of the Epifanía the Church celebrates the festivity of the Sagrada Familia formed by Jesús, María y José, immediately after the manifestation of the divinity of Our Lord. Why do we celebrate the remembrance of the Sagrada Familia, mysteries of intimacy and affection for those who have veiled them in the house, precisely when the divine reality of the Niño Rey is manifested, adored by the shepherds and the Kings Magos from the East?
This is owed to those who are in the family – the natural one, henceforth, but also sanctified by the sacrament of Marriage, and in the greatest degree to those in whom the fathers are the Holy Virgin and the patriarch San José, and the Hijo are the Verb Encarnado – whence is concrete in the charity the order that is an indispensable condition for the social reality of Nuestro Señor Jesucristo. Une a los padres in a jerárquica relationship that holds as a model the love between Aquel that is the Head of the Church and his Mystical Body of him. In this microcosm that is considered a cell of society, it prepares children to be good Christians, brave soldiers of Christ, honorable citizens and wise and prudent rulers.
Without the family there cannot be a well-ordered society. And even if the Christian family cannot exist a Christian society in which the Lordship of Christ is recognized. In the family, fathers exercise in the name of God the authority over their sons, and therefore this authority is legitimate when they are exercised within the law of God, and can then benefit from the graces of state so that they can obey their sons. Esa potestas, recognize by the natural derecho, acquire a sobrenatural dimension when one is inspired by the infinite love with which the Father loves the Hijo and the Hijo loves the Father; a divine love, so powerful that the mismo is God, the Espíritu Santo. Of the same way that the man manifests in his facultades – memory, understanding and will – the Trinitarian imprint of the Creator, the family is also in a certain way mirrored by the Holy Trinity, because in it we see the creative power of the Father, the redeeming obedience of the Hijo y el sanctificante amor del Espíritu Santo. But we also meet awareness of her own identity and her own traditions (memory), the capacity to serve us to face the issues we cross (entendimiento) and the bond of love between spouses and between fathers and sons (will).
